Over 900 Price Gouging Complaints in Missouri

(Jefferson City) Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt says his office has received more than 900 coronavirus-related price gouging complaints from March 16th to April 9th.

Topping the list is food and drink prices followed by paper supplies, cleaning products, medical supplies and gas.

Schmitt’s office sent three cease and desist letters to St. Louis area businesses last week for selling face masks at inflated prices.

Schmitt wants Missourians to report COVID-19 price gouging to his office.

There are complaint forms on the Missouri Attorney General’s website.
