Parents Seminar on Juvenile Drug and Alcohol Abuse

The Byrnes Mill Police Department along with Spring Hills Presbyterian Church will be holding a parents’ seminar on juvenile drug and alcohol abuse next month. Byrnes Mill Police Chief Frank Selvaggio says there will be representatives with the DEA, Contrea, the Jefferson County Health Department, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and many more. He says they will have a room set up to teach parents what to look for and where teenagers could be hiding things.

Chief Selvaggio says parents can also get lots of other information regarding help from community organizations.

The seminar will be held on Monday, March 6th at Spring Hillsboro Presbyterian Church on Upper Byrnes Mill Road. The doors open at 5:30 and the Parents Seminar on Juvenile Drug and Alcohol Abuse is free to attend.
