Park Hills City Council Holds Budget Planning Meeting

(Park Hills) The Park Hills City Council had an early budget planning meeting on Tuesday night to go along with the regularly scheduled work session meeting.

The new spending plan for Park Hills needs to be approved before the new fiscal year starts on October 1st.

City Administrator Mark McFarland says city department heads were a part of the meeting.

We asked McFarland if any big projects will be a part of the new fiscal year budget for the City of Park Hills.

The Park Hills City Council will have a few more budget planning meetings before final approval is given.

In the work session portion of the meeting, approval was given to purchase two pickup trucks from Park Hills Chevrolet.

One is a 2022 Silverado half-ton pickup for the utility department and the other is a 2023 three-quarter ton Silverado that will be used by the parks and recreation department.

Those purchases were made from monies available from the current fiscal year city budget.
