(Park Hills) We should finally get somewhat of a break from the extreme heat after Thursday.

The heat advisory for the region will expire at 9 o’clock Thursday night.

It’s been a rough several days for those who have to work outdoors.

Park Hills City Administrator Mark McFarland says so far so good for city employees who have had to battle this week’s hot weather.

Today was the hottest day of the week as we topped out at 95 degrees at Regional Radio in Farmington.

Tuesday’s high was 93 and Monday’s high temperature reached 92.

On Thursday, we are expected to top out at 93 but the maximum heat index temperature for Thursday afternoon is expected to reach triple digits again.

On Saturday, we may reach 90 but after that, a slow drop in the high temperature is expected at least through next Wednesday.
