Park Hills Man Injured in Crash in St. Francois County

(Park Hills) A man from Park Hills was injured this morning in a two vehicle accident in St. Francois County.

The Highway Patrol says the accident happened on Highway 67 at Fairgrounds Road when a Cadillac driven by 26-year-old Stephen Lachler of Farmington was northbound in the left lane of 67 while a Ford F250 pickup truck driven by 57-year-old John Kee of Park Hills was northbound in the right hand lane.

The Cadillac suffered some sort of malfunction, causing the right front of that vehicle to strike the left rear of the truck.

The car ran off the road but the pickup began to rotate off the road, the front of the truck then struck a cable barrier, it ran off the road and down into an embankment.

Lachler was not injured but Kee received moderate injuries.

He was taken to Parkland Health Center in Farmington.
