Park Hills police want sales tax to fund equipment

The Park Hills police department made a presentation for the city council during Tuesday night’s meeting.

City administrator Mark McFarland says the department showed its progress and its goals under new police chief Richard McFarland.

Part of making more progress will be enhancing the department.

Mark McFarland says the department wants a Proposition P on the next election ballot to add a sales tax that would fund more equipment.

The proposed 25-cent tax will be put to public vote in April.
