Park Hills Woman Crashes Into Truck On I-55 In Jefferson County

(Jefferson County) A woman from Park Hills was seriously injured in a car crash on I-55 at US-67 in Jefferson County Wednesday afternoon. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 22-year-old Rachel Smith was traveling northbound in a 2005 Chevy Silverado when she crossed the striped line and struck the right side of a 2021 Kenworth T-680. Smith’s vehicle then spun and struck a guardrail. The Park Hills woman was taken to Mercy Hospital South to treat her serious injuries. The crash happened around 1:45 Wednesday afternoon.
