(Farmington) August is National Breastfeeding Month. Tara Wadlow, a Certified Family Medical Nurse Practitioner for Parkland Health Center in Farmington, says there are a lot of benefits to breastfeeding for the first six months of a child’s life.

Parkland Health Center offers support for new moms to overcome the challenges of breastfeeding.

And support persons play an important role in breastfeeding as well.
