Parson Says Vaccine Distribution Issues Must Stop

(Jefferson City) Health institutions have begun rolling out the Covid-19 vaccine as supply comes in. Today Governor Mike Parson spoke about some issues with the vaccination distribution. Some vaccine locations have not been following the guidelines set up by the state.

People continue to question why the Governor insists on kids going back to school but teachers are not being vaccinated. He said he wants teachers to be vaccinated as soon as possible.

Dr. Randal Williams joined Governor Parson at the new brief and discussed a specific instance of someone not following the distribution guidelines. Williams did not release the name of the location or leadership that broke the rules, but said it has been handled.

Dr. Williams also suggested that Missouri could move to Phase 1B Tier 3 vaccination in early to mid April. He continued by saying we could enter Phase 3 by mid May.
