(Potosi) Paul Fitzwater grew up in Potosi, taught school at Potosi, coached at Potosi and even represented Potosi as it’s state representative.

He, along with two others, will be inducted into the Potosi School District Hall of Fame at the end of this month.

Fitzwater describes when he finally heard the news about his selection.

Fitwater helped coach some Potosi teams to State titles. He tells us about his early influences that gave him the sports bug.

Fitzwater now works on the State Parole Board.

Dr. Larry Allen was also selected to the Potosi School District Hall of Fame.

He is currently a veterinarian at Bates Creek Veterinary Clinic in Potosi.

Dr. Allen graduated from Potosi in 1965.

The other hall of fame inductee is John Huff.

For eight years, Huff was the director of the Missouri Department of Insurance.

Before that, he spent 11 years as an executive at G.E. Insurance Solutions and Swiss R.E.

Huff was also the president of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.

These three men will be inducted into the Potosi School District Hall of Fame on Friday, January 31st during the homecoming basketball game against Fredericktown.
