Perry becomes Jefferson County Council Chair

(Hillsboro) The Jefferson County Council has decided on a new chair for the next year. District 5 Councilwoman Tracey Perry was chosen to fill that role. She says she’s trying to make things easier for all the members to make the communication even better.

Perry says one of the things she would like to change is to simplify the process for deciding on a new councilperson if a member has to resign for any reason.

There is a possibility that situation could happen later this year as District 2 Councilwoman Renee Reuter has filed to run for the 112th District State Representative in the Missouri House. If she is successful, she would have to step down as a Jefferson County Council member.
