The Perry County municipal election takes place June 2nd this year due to COVID-19.
Because of the virus, Perry County has decided to consolidate different polling locations.
Here’s Perry County Clerk Jared Kutz.
According to Kutz, a large number of election judges are also considered high risk and he says he wants to make sure they are safe.
Kutz says he understands how important voting is and says Perry County is taking every precaution to protect election judges and voters.
Voters can vote absentee as well.
Kutz lists what locations will be moved and where they will vote now.
The June 2nd election is a municipal election and will have a small turnout, but Kutz says this will give Perry County a chance to work out issues and make sure everything is running smoothly when the bigger elections come up later this year.
