The Perry County School District’s Career and Technical Education Program is giving local students real world experience. Kate Martin says the building trades program was in the spotlight at the November 8th Board of Education meeting.
Building trades is not the only career path students can explore. The district also offers education in automotive trades, digital media, medicine, and agriculture. Martin says these opportunities are welcome to students outside of the district too.
Students from sending schools are invited to tour the Career Center each year, and must apply to be a part of the program.
