(PERRYVILLE, Mo.) – This fall soccer season will be another great opportunity for the Perryville Pirates boys soccer team, as they bring back a team that did not lose many seniors from the previous season. The Pirates bring back their leading goal scorer Austin Welk, as well as seven players who started as freshmen last year, including the goalkeeper and two of the top five goal-scorers. Pirates coach Jerry Fulton said he has enjoyed seeing the young group grow together.

As far as starting off this season, Fulton said he can already see some promising signs.

Perryville boys soccer finished 13-11 last year. They will begin play in 2019 during the Greg Kline Invitational starting Friday, August 30.
