Perryville Football Hires New Coach

(Perryville) The Perryville Pirates football team has a new captain of the ship. Brent Roth is returning to his high school alma mater to replace 4-year head coach Blane Boss. Roth was a former all-district linebacker and wide receiver in his playing days and took over position coaching duties after he graduated college. It was always a dream for Roth to be on the sideline for the Pirates.
Roth wants to instill a new culture into the Pirate football program.
Roth was mainly a defensive player in his career, but as a coach, he has a lot of plans for the offense.
Coach Roth shared what his goals are for the upcoming season.
Perryville starts the season on August 27th when they play St. Clair at home.
