(DESOTO) In a postponed match up gun-slinging football teams, the Perryville Pirates prevailed 14-7 over the DeSoto Dragons today on our MyMoInfoSports Stream. The game was scheduled to be played Friday night at 7, but because of heavy rains and lightning, the Pirates and Dragons had to play this evening.

Despite both teams throwing the ball well, it was Perryville who struck first with a 25-yard pass from Evan Daugherty.

 
Perryville forced a fumble which led to a scoring drive to make the score 14-0.

 
DeSoto scored a touchdown to cut the lead to 14-7 for the Pirates. However, a sack from Perryville late in the game shut that down quickly.

Perryville improves to 1-0 with the win and will play at home against St. James on Friday. Desoto falls to 0-1 and will be on the road to face Mehlville on Friday night.
