Perryville Girls Soccer Is Final Four Bound

(Perryville) Since the inception of the girl’s soccer program at Perryville High School, the Lady Pirates have never reached the State Final Four. All that changed last Saturday as the Pirates defeated Bishop DuBourg 4-1 to punch their ticket to Worldwide Technology Soccer Park in Fenton for the Class 2 Final Four. For Coach Jerry Fulton, he says that his girls didn’t get this far just to get this far.

The #2 ranked team in Class 2 had a different player score each of their goals on Saturday. Coach Fulton says Junior Mid-fielder Alyssa King led the charge.

Friday, Perryville will take on the third-ranked team in the class, Orchard Farm. He says the Eagles will be their toughest opponent yet.

The #2 Pirates and #3 Eagles face off on the pitch Friday afternoon at 2:30 at Worldwide Technology Soccer Park in Fenton. The winner will face either MICDS or Pleasant Hill in the state championship Saturday.
