A man has been arrested for shooting his son-in-law.

Corporal Jeri Cain with the Perryville police department says officers were dispatched Thursday night for reports of gun fire at the residence of 65-year-old Michael David McAtee.

The victim was taken to a Cape Girardeau hospital for treatment.
McAtee was apprehended and is being charged with first-degree felony domestic assualt and felony armed criminal action.
He is being held at the Perry County jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
