Perryville Police Investigating Attempted Child Abduction Case

(PERRYVILLE, Mo.) – Perryville police are searching for a suspect in an attempted child abduction case involving an 11-year old girl. Corporal Jeri Cain with the police department sent out a release about the incident, which happened on Tuesday. Cain said the suspect drove up next to the girl while she was walking to school.

The girl got into the car, but then felt uncomfortable with some of the man’s comments, and eventually escaped the vehicle when he stopped at a stop sign. After the girl and her parents reported the incident to police, the department matched the suspect’s description with the suspect in a similar case that happened in late October.
