Perryville Soccer Star Dayton Strattman Named Regional Radio Player Of The Year

The Regional Radio Boys Soccer Player of the Year is Perryville’s Dayton Strattman. The senior tells us what it means to receive this honor.

Strattman racked up 39 goals and 31 assists en route to a second place finish in the Class 2 state tournament this season. He also had seven game-winners but Strattman says his favorite goals came when his team was trailing.

That’s pretty telling because Strattman has the school records for goals and assists. He tells us how the Pirates were able to come back from a 3-0 halftime deficit to beat Excelsior Springs in the state semifinal.

Perryville coach Jerry Fulton was named the Dream Team Coach of the Year. Strattman tells us why he enjoyed playing for Fulton.

Perryville finished the season 23-4.
