(Perryville) After being placed on administrative leave, a teacher soon resigned from their position with the Perryville School District late last month.
When the district heard about the allegations of the unnamed teacher having inappropriate conduct and communications with a student, the school reported the information to police and the Missouri Division of Children’s Services.
The teacher was then placed on administrative leave and was ordered not to have contact with any student in the district, be on school property or attend any school events in Perry County.
In a note sent to parents about the matter, Superintendent Andy Comstock said the district will continue to cooperate with all investigators on the matter.
