(Perryville) Perryville Pirates softball senior Ann-Marie Simpson signed to continue her playing career at Three Rivers College next year. Simpson played center field and pitched for the Pirates. She says she will primarily play center with some pitching mixed in for the Raiders. Simpson said the recruiting process was stressful but she put in the work to get noticed.
She fell in love with Three Rivers College and said ultimately there was a strong connection to the coaching staff.
In her senior season at Perryville, Ann-Marie hit .474 with 12 RBIs. She said her best memories come from the little moments that all add up to a fantastic career.
Ann-Marie has waited and worked for this moment since she first told her dad at age five she wanted to play college ball. Over the spring and summer she says she wants to work on making sure her confidence is through the roof but remembering she still has earn everything in front of her. The Raiders were 11-2 last season before the season was cancelled.
