Police Search in Jefferson County Called Off, Suspect in Custody

(Jefferson/St. Francois Counties) The police search along Highway 67 between Buck Creek Road and Route CC, south of Festus has been called off.
The suspect authorities were looking for is now in custody.
The suspect in question is reported to have been involved in a burglary at Leadbelt Power Sports in Park Hills prior to getting into a police chase with St. Francois County authorities, with the chase ending in Jefferson County.
Canine Kane with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office assisted in tracking down the suspect.
The suspect was detained by sheriff’s deputies before Park Hills Police were able to make the arrest.
