Police searching for a man involved in shooting on Friday night

(Festus) Police in Festus are searching for a man who they believe shot another man Friday night in Shropshire Park.

Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis says officers received the call around 8:20pm.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where he underwent emergency surgery on Friday night. Last word was that he is still in the intensive Care Unit.

Police are in the process of applying for warrants against the suspect who has not been identified pending formal charges.
