(BONNE TERRE, Mo.) – The North County Raiders baseball team kept things rolling with its sixth consecutive victory, a 2-0 win over the Farmington Knights Tuesday afternoon on KREI. Scoring was light for both sides, but the Raiders found the hits when they needed them most, including an RBI single from Shelby Lee.

Farmington’s Jaysen Mattingly pitched well, only giving up one run in five innings. However, he was out-dueled by Kolten Poorman, who spun a complete game shutout, allowing just four hits and striking out 11. Raiders coach Chris McLain said Poorman pitched well in this rivalry game.

North County is now 8-4-1 and 2-0 in MAAA Large School Conference play. Farmington has now lost nine straight and is 2-9 overall. The Raiders are back at it Wednesday as they host Union, while the Knights will face Central on Thursday.
