(Jefferson City) Missouri is holding ten pop-up vaccination clinics for people with developmental disabilities, starting next week.
The state Department of Health and Senior Services says one in six Americans has a sensory processing need.
Sensory-friendly vaccination clinics are designed to bring relief to locations that don’t have interior physical space for a sensory room, and they provide a quick sensory refuge.
The events will be next week in Hayti, Cape Girardeau, Berkeley, Cuba, Rolla, Springfield, Stockton, Sedalia, Warrensburg, and Independence.
The vaccinations being given at these events vary.
