A man from Poplar Bluff is being charged with 29 total felonies after stealing various firearms, two vehicles, and other items from a US military veteran, who is disabled, in Washington County.

The Daily Journal reports that 28-year Maxwell Morelan is looking at a single count of first-degree burglary, two counts of first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle, 12 counts of receiving stolen property, and 14 counts of unlawful possession of a firearm after an incident on November 2nd.

Morelan twice went to a home on Highway 47 that day, once in the morning, and another time in the afternoon.

In all, Morelan allegedly stole 14 firearms, two vehicles, and multiple other belongings of the victim.

All items were eventually recovered by authorities, and Morelan was booked into the Washington County Jail on Friday on a $100,000 bond.
