(Imperial) Items suspected to be used to make methamphetamine were found at a residence in the 4200 block of East Swaller Road in the Imperial area. Authorities were called to the home on October 16th after a report of a possible burglary.

According to the reporting party, the home had not been checked on in months. When the home was checked on, the reporting party noticed a window had been pried open and a large amount of trash was dumped around the driveway.

When Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the scene, they found items they believe to have been used to make meth. The reporting party also noted that two sets of scaffolding, lumber, a ladder and walk boards were missing from the residence.

The stolen items alongside the damage to the home is valued at $2,400. None of the stolen items have yet to be recovered.
