Potential DeSoto Community Center Update

(DeSoto) The City of DeSoto and DeSoto schools have not given up on the possibility of a community civic center, however, there has been little movement in the last few months. DeSoto City Manager Todd Melkus says if something like this can happen it needs to start with donations.

Melkus says asking for a tax increase to help with the project is out of the question.

The proposed civic center location is along Vineland School Road along the southern end of DeSoto.
