Potosi At North County Thursday Night Football On J98

(Bonne Terre) We got Thursday night football on J98 The Boot. The Potosi Trojans head to Bonne Terre to face the North County Raiders on Thursday.

North County is 6-1 and on a three-game winning streak. Jobe Smith has over 1,000 rushing yards and 18 total touchdowns this season but an area of improvement for the Raiders has been in their passing game. Quarterback Jack Moore has been lighting it up over the last three games with 390 yards and six touchdowns.

Coach Brian Jones says an added passing game makes it harder to defend the Raiders.

Potosi has a quality passing game too. Trojans quarterback Blake Coleman has 1,475 passing yards and 17 touchdowns and Jones knows what he’s capable of…

Potosi is 3-4 on the year and are a pass-heavy team but the running game is coming along with freshman Noah Walton running for 124 yards and a touchdown in a win over St. Charles West last Friday.

However, coach Dylan Wyrick is very aware of how difficult it is to play North County.

It’s been a long year for Potosi. Injuries have forced them to play Coleman at linebacker and two of their best offensive playmakers have started on the offensive line the past two games.

After starting the season 1-3, Wyrick is proud of his team for keeping their heads up.

Potosi and North County will battle it out on Thursday at 6:45 on J98. You can also stream the game RIGHT HERE.
