Potosi At Ste. Genevieve Boys On J-98

Two hot teams will face off on Friday when the Potosi boys’ basketball team (16-3) travels to Ste. Genevieve (13-4) for a Class Four matchup. Both teams have been doing well in the new year. Since 2023 started, Potosi is 6-1 while Ste. Genevieve has gone 5-1.

Potosi head coach Jackson Conaway cited effort and attention to detail as keys to his team’s recent performance.

Ste. Genevieve head coach Rob Coleman focused on his team’s depth, highlighting a number of specific players who have played well in various aspects of the game throughout the season.

Both coaches also had high praise for their opponent. Conaway discussed Ste. Genevieve’s defensive schemes and mentioned several of the players Coleman chose to shout out as well.

Meanwhile, Coleman is paying attention to Potosi’s guards and their ability to contribute to winning on both ends of the floor.

Since 2009, the matchup between these two teams has been fairly even, with Potosi winning 13 of 24 meetings. However, Ste. Genevieve had won six straight before Potosi emerged victorious 44-36 in their most recent contest, which occurred last season.

Coverage of the game on J-98 is scheduled to start with the Fliegs Equipment Pregame Show at 7:15, with tip-off set to take place around 7:30.
