Potosi Girls Basketball Looks to Improve Under New Head Coach

(Potosi) the Potosi Trojans girls basketball team takes to the court for another season, but they have a new head ball coach. Jeff Gibson has been the assistant principal at Potosi for the last five years and he coached at West County for 11 seasons. The Trojans have only one senior returning on this team, and she is on the injured list to start, but Gibson likes the make up of the team.

In his first season as head coach, Gibson has made some changed. He transitioned the defense from a zone to man-to-man. One goal for the team is to improve the toughness and speed of the defense.

Gibson says being out of coaching for the last fours years has made returning special.

Potosi finished last season at 13-14 and look to improve on that when they start the season December 8th against West County.
