Potosi Man Facing 30 Felonies in Washington County Court Next Week
(Potosi) A Washington County man facing 30 felonies in Washington County will have his preliminary hearing next week.
48-year-old Phillip A. Emily Jr. of Potosi will have his preliminary hearing next Wednesday at the courthouse in Potosi.
Emily Jr. faces 28 counts of first-degree statutory sodomy and two counts of second-degree child molestation.
A news release from the Washington County Prosecuting Attorney’s office said he was charged on April 12th of this year.
The complaint alleges that between July 8th of 2021 and April 27th of 2022, Emily Jr. frequently perpetrated various sexual abusive acts on a single victim who was less than 12-years-old.
The allegations against Emily Jr. include various types of acts of abuse spanning across several different locations but all include the same child as the victim.
