Potosi School Cancelled Friday Due to Unexpected Employee Death

(Potosi) The Potosi School District was closed Friday due to the sudden death of a staff member.

A letter to the school district community from Superintendent Alex McCaul announced the passing of Paula Pashia from a medical emergency on Thursday.

Pashia was a social worker for the district.

McCaul says she was loved dearly by students and staff and had an enormous passion for her students and her goals all revolved around supporting children and families so they could thrive in the Potosi community.

McCaul says Pashia loved seeing students succeed.

The letter goes on to say the district has counselors and administrators available for any student or staff member who may need or want help or any type of assistance surrounding this loss.

School at Potosi is expected to resume on Monday.
