Potosi Softball Captures First In MAAA, Beats Central 9-1

(PARK HILLS, Mo.) – In a battle for the top spot in the MAAA conference standings, the Potosi Trojans softball team came up with a 9-1 victory at the Central Rebels.
The Trojans got up 2-0 early and doubled the lead in the 3rd inning thanks to the Gilster Mary Lee Drive of the Game from sophomore Sydney Litton.
The Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game was freshman Sami Huck, who not only pitched 7 innings of one-run softball, but also came up with 4 hits and 3 RBI.
Potosi moves to 6-0 and 3-0 in conference with the win and has Valle Catholic at home on Wednesday.
Central is now 4-4 and 2-1 in the MAAA and will look to rebound at home Wednesday against Bismarck.
