Potosi Softball’s Sami Huck Is Regional Radio’s Dream Team Player Of The Year

(Potosi) After putting up video game numbers in the circle and at the plate, and leading her team to a second place finish at State, Potosi softball’s Sami Huck was named the Regional Radio Dream Team Player of the Year. Upon hearing about the award, Huck immediately reached out to her battery mate Hannah Jarvis.

Huck dominated in the circle last season, finishing with 300 strikeouts in 136 innings and a zero-point-seven-two ERA. She credits a lot of her success to her relationship with Potosi coach Tyler Beers. Huck talks about a moment the two shared during the state championship game.

Huck was as effective at the plate as she was in the circle. The junior had a 579/695/947 slash line and never struck out in over 100 plate appearances. But when it comes to pitching, Huck gets into a different zone.

Potosi finished the season 26-4, losing in the state championship game 1-0 to Skyline in 12 innings.
