(STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo.) – Two conference and district foes will square off on the gridiron Friday as the 1-2 Potosi Trojans visit the 2-1 Ste. Genevieve Dragons on J-98. The Dragons return home after suffering a 53-21 loss on the road to Kennett. Head coach Ken Weik said some breakdowns in defensive positioning led to the loss last week.

Coach Weik said offensive execution will be key against a tough Potosi defense.

Trojans head coach Ed Haar said his defensive front has put together good performances despite two straight losses to St. Clair and Perryville in previous weeks.

Potosi has seen most of its offensive success through the ground game this year. Coach Haar said he hopes the offensive line can improve in pass protection to help sophomore quarterback Andrew Coleman.

The Trojans and Dragons will kickoff their battle at 7 p.m. Friday on J-98 with the Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show beginning at 6 p.m.
