Potosi Superintendent Worries about Possibility of Flooding Next Week

(Potosi) An ice storm last week and two snow events this week may lead to more weather issues next week.

That means the possibility of more school days canceled for some districts.

Potosi Superintendent Alex McCaul says don’t rule out the possibility for flooding next week.

Since schools have provided some form or another of learning at home through a computer or i-pad for the last year because of the pandemic, we asked McCaul if Potosi and other schools would eventually do away with the so-called Snow Day where districts would have their students learn from home on days that were not safe to travel to school because of snow or some other situation.

McCaul says there’s one main thing holding Potosi and other school districts back from doing that.

McCaul says they hope to reopen the Potosi schools on Monday.

The next scheduled day off for students at Potosi, according to the district’s calendar, is Friday, February 26th for a Teacher Collaboration Day.
