Potosi Trojan Dylan Coleman Drafted by the San Diego Padres

(SAN DIEGO, CA) Former Potosi Trojan Dylan Coleman was selected by the San Diego Padres in the 4th round with the 111th pick of the Major League Baseball first-year amateur player draft on Tuesday.
Coleman, a pitcher for Missouri State University, recorded 122 strikeouts this year for the Bears with 96.2 innings pitched over 15 starts and 1 relief appearance. He posted a 3.63 ERA and batting average against of .205 in 2018.
Coleman features a high velocity fastball and a plus slider. Some scouts project a move to the bullpen could be in Coleman’s pro future.
