Potosi’s Allison Missey Makes History And Makes Winter Dream Team

(Potosi) Potosi Sophomore Allison Missey made school history this year as she was the first girls wrestler to make it to the state wrestling championships in Columbia. The 105-pounder’s historic season for the Trojans solidified her spot on the 2022 Winter Dream Team for Girls Wrestling. Missey says that knowing she was going to states was an unforgettable moment.

Missey wasn’t able to pick up a win in the state championships this year, but she didn’t let that stop her from having a good time in Columbia.

Missey says her biggest improvement on the mat really wasn’t anything physical, but overcoming mental hurdles.

She wanted to thank a lot of people for supporting her throughout this historic season.

Missey finished the season with a record of 37-4 and was 2nd in District 1.
