Potosi’s Tyler Beers Named Softball Dream Team Coach Of The Year

(Potosi) The Potosi softball team may have come up short at State this past season but their efforts didn’t go unrecognized. Trojans head coach Tyler Beers was named the Regional Radio Dream Team Coach of the Year and he was very appreciative of the recognition.

Potosi had a memorable run to the State Championship game in Springfield. Junior Pitcher Sami Huck threw a no-hitter in the semi-final game against Diamond and followed that up with 28 strikeouts in a 12-inning, one run loss in the State Championship game to Skyline. Beers will never forget that weekend, but there was another game that he enjoyed being apart of.

Beers had many people in his life to thank for this award.

Huck was voted the Regional Radio Dream Team Player of the Year. Potosi finished their season 26-4.
