Preston Brown of Hillsboro is Farmington Applebee’s Athlete of the Week

(HILLSBORO) The Hillsboro Hawks won on the road in Week 2, a 35-28 victory over Cape Central. Quarterback Preston Brown carried the ball 11 times for 113 yards and he completed 10 of 17 passes for 150 yards and three touchdowns. In leading his team to victory, Brown is this week’s Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week.
Preston says the team got off to somewhat of a slow start on Friday night but at the end, they were able to get the touchdown to give them the win.
According to Preston, the Hawks expected a tough game against Cape Central.
Most of the Hawk’s offensive line graduated last spring, but Brown is quick to compliment this year’s linemen.
The Hawks last season won a district title and then lost in the next round to St. Mary’s High School of St. Louis, finishing at (10-2). Brown believes the Hawks can have another big year.
As Athlete of the Week, Brown receives a t-shirt, certificate and a coupon for a free entree at Applebee’s in Farmington.
