(POTOSI) Washington County Health Department has teamed up with the Potosi R-3 school district to host a prevention education night. The entire county jumped on board with the idea including: Washington County Memorial Hospital, Great Mines Health Center, Health Department, The Ambulance District and the Washington County Partnership. The idea is to bring awareness to the community on a wide variety of topics like opioid addiction and recovery, dangers of the internet and drug prevention.

Each topic will have different presenters that want to educate the community on issues that surround them as well the positive things that are being done about them.

The event is Thursday March 5th at 6 pm at Potosi High School and is open to anyone interested. If you have any questions call Shawnee Douglas with the Washington County Health Department at 573-438-2154.
