(Potosi) There’s a very important public meeting coming up in Potosi on Friday, February 21st.

The meeting is hosted by the Meramec Regional Planning Commission, the Ozarks Solid Waste Management District and the Mark Twain National Forest.

Kathryn Hawes is with the Meramec Regional Planning Commission.

She tells us about the topic of the meeting.

We asked Hawes how big of a problem illegal forest dumping is.

The informational meeting on illegal dumping in the Mark Twain National Forest takes place Friday, February 21st from 4 until 6 p.m. at the Washington County Library in Potosi.

Everyone is welcome.

At the meeting, you can sign up to help in a March 7th clean up of two targeted illegal dump areas near Potosi.
