Raiders vs Knights: Rivals Rematch in Class 4 District 1 Semifinals

(Bonne Terre) Friday night on KREI the 7-3 Farmington Knights and 9-1 North County Raiders write another chapter of their rivalry, but this time with major implications as it’s the Class 4 District 1 Semifinals. The Raiders got the best of the Knights in Week 1, winning 35-12 behind 277 yards and 2 touchdowns from junior running back Jobe Smith. Knights head coach Erik Kruppe says his guys have improved since then and are learning from that loss.

The North County tandem of Jobe Smith and Nolan Reed have combined for nearly 2,000 rushing yards and 36 rushing touchdowns. Kruppe says that containing them is the key.

Raiders head coach Brian Jones knew that the Knights would get better as the season progressed. He says he and his team are excited to play against their improved rivals for a second time.

Farmington has their own outstanding rushing attack with the 4-headed monster of Drew Felker, Jeremiah Cunningham, Brady Cook, and Kaeson McClain. Coach Jones says that his team needs to stay disciplined against the Farmington triple option.

The Farmington Knights travel to Bonne Terre for this Class 4 District 1 Semifinal matchup against the North County Raiders. Kickoff is scheduled at 7 with the Fliegs Equipment Pregame Show at 6 on AM 800 KREI.
