Random Acts Of Kindness Day A Big Success

(Old Mines) Random Acts of Kindness Day took place Thursday across the area. It’s a day organized by the group Shayley’s Angels as a way to draw awareness to depression and suicide prevention efforts. Lela Thompson helped to organize the day. She says it was a big success.

Thompson tells us about a few of the things that stood out for her.

Volunteers from Shayley’s Angels were set up Thursday in Washington, Jefferson and St. Francois Counties, but groups and businesses from throughout the area took part in the day. Thompson says they also had participation in Random Acts of Kindness Day from as far away as Illinois, North Carolina, Virginia and Florida.
