Record COVID-19 Day For Missouri

(Jefferson City) The 773 COVID-19 cases confirmed Tuesday in Missouri is the largest single-day increase since the pandemic began.

State health officials say the spike in cases is partially due to delayed reporting over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

The previous daily record was 553 news cases on June 25th.

Fourteen more deaths were reported Tuesday, increasing the state’s death toll to one-thousand-42.
