Red Cross Seeing Lowest Blood Donations in Years

(Farmington) The American Red Cross is experiencing an emergency blood shortage.

Sharon Watson is the Red Cross Regional Communications Director for Missouri.

She says levels haven’t been this low since 2015.

All staff and volunteers at blood donation locations are masked up and are following all Covid-19 protocols.

There’s a blood drive Monday afternoon from noon until 5:30 at Marquand-Zion High School.

There’s one Tuesday afternoon from 1 until 6 at Parkland Chapel on Karsch Boulevard in Farmington.

There’s also blood drives coming up at West County High School in Frankclay on October 13th from 1 until 6 and at the Viburnum First Baptist Church on October 15th from 1 until 5.
