Redistricting Underway for Jefferson County Council

(Jefferson County) Jefferson County government officials are currently working on the redistricting process for the county council.

County Executive Dennis Gannon says that work is ongoing right now.

Redistricting and where the council lines will be laid depends heavily on the latest census numbers released.

Gannon says the county council lines typically even out to where each council member elected represents the same amount of citizens per district.
