Regional Radio Brings Home Five Awards, Three 1st Place

Regional radio brought home five awards from the 2023 Missouri Broadcasters Association this weekend at Lake of the Ozarks. We claimed three first place honors and two runner up awards. We swept the sports category for small market radio stations as Luke Turnbough won first place for Let’s Play Catch, the story of Dan Bryan and his quest to play catch with a different person each day for a year to remember and honor his son Ethan who died in a car crash. Griffin Weinberg was the runner up with his report about the DeSoto Football team. Louie Seiberlich won first place for his News Series on the tragic story on the death of Bonne Terre Police Officer Lane Burns. Korey Johnson took first in Feature Reporting for his story on the Jefferson County Wet Lab and Ryan Ryneheimer was the runner up for his complete newscast from January.
